There’s something undeniably romantic about spring in the river towns of New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ. Add golden hour, sweeping overlooks, and a couple like Victoria and Jimmy—and it’s pure magic. This engagement session at Goat Hill Overlook, just minutes from downtown Lambertville and across the bridge from New Hope, was filled with connection, golden light, and an unexpected surprise.
As a New Hope engagement photographer, I love capturing love stories in places that blend natural beauty with emotional depth—and Goat Hill delivered both.

Victoria and Jimmy met in medical school, where long hours of studying turned into a sweet and steady connection. Their engagement story feels like it’s straight out of a travel journal: Jimmy proposed during a family hike in Point Lobos, California, with ocean cliffs as their backdrop and loved ones nearby.
Their personalities are quiet, kind, and deeply rooted—but during this session, I got to watch them open up and start to have fun. The shift was subtle but beautiful. Early in the shoot, we were down by the Delaware River when a dragon boat team paddled by—cheering them on from the water! That spontaneous moment brought laughter and instantly set the tone for the rest of our time together.

Victoria and Jimmy kept their outfits casual and cute—soft, comfortable, and true to who they are. As the sun dipped lower, we made our way to Goat Hill Overlook, one of my favorite hidden gem photo spots near New Hope. From the top, the panoramic views of the Delaware River and surrounding hills glowed in that perfect spring sunset light.
Their connection really came alive here. With the breeze blowing gently and the sky turning gold and pink, they leaned into each other with ease. That mix of relaxed affection and scenic beauty is why I adore being a New Hope engagement photographer—these are the moments that matter.

Victoria and Jimmy will be tying the knot in October at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ—a modern art garden venue that’s as inspiring as it is unique. I have no doubt their wedding will be filled with thoughtful details and beautiful emotion, just like they are.
Thank you, Victoria & Jimmy, for trusting me to capture your story. I can’t wait for your big day!
Whether you’re newly engaged or planning a proposal, I photograph couples across Montgomery County, Bucks County, Philadelphia County, and throughout the East Coast. If you’re dreaming of a relaxed, romantic engagement session with natural light and beautiful scenery, let’s make it happen.

Megan and Ryan are two of the sweetest souls and their love for one another is so evident.
