Matthew proposed to his beautiful girlfriend Hannah on the first gorgeous evening of 2021 in Rittenhouse Square, and it couldn’t have been more perfect!
I recently photographed Matthew’s cousin Talia for her engagement photos (with her fiancé) and he got in touch asking if I could be there for his proposal to Hannah. Since proposals are one of my favorite things.. the answer was a resounding YES!
Proposals are so fun to photograph because I get to develop a relationship with the groom-to-be! There were countless texts, emails, and some PDF maps of Rittenhouse Square to plan out the perfect moment.
This day was so special for Matthew because it was his own birthday! He really wanted to throw Hannah off, so he picked a day she’d least suspect it. They had a reservation at the amazing Parc restaurant right on Rittenhouse Square, and he dropped to one knee on their walk to dinner.
Matthew gave Hannah an absolute stunner of an engagement ring. She loved it so much and couldn’t stop staring the whole session!
We followed up the proposal with a few Facetime calls to the moms, and finished by popping a bottle of champagne to toast to their new engagement and photos around Rittenhouse Square.
Congratulations, Matthew and Hannah! Cheers to many happy years together. I wish you both the absolute best!

Megan and Ryan are two of the sweetest souls and their love for one another is so evident.
