As a Philadelphia Engagement Photographer, summer evenings at Curtis Arboretum are always a favorite of mine. The historic estate was built in the early 1900s and is known for its sweeping stone architecture, lush gardens, and iconic pergola — all of which feel timeless and romantic, even on an overcast day.

For this session, the clouds hung low and soft, creating the dreamiest, even light as we explored the grounds. Just as we finished, the sun broke through for a few glowing rays — the perfect ending to an evening filled with easy moments, quiet laughter, and portraits that feel both natural and classic. Curtis Arboretum’s mix of history, greenery, and gentle hillside views makes it a beautiful spot for couples who want a bright, relaxed, and elegant engagement session in the heart of the Philadelphia area.
